In this one-day workshop, participants will explore the ways that puppets and stuffed animals can be used in the classroom as tools to support learning of challenging concepts, and develop a lesson plan or activity integrating puppets and stuffed animals.

This three-part hybrid series will provide practical tools, resources, templates, strategies, and mutual support for educators who are currently facilitating, or considering implementing, racial affinity groups. Participants will explore affinity group curriculum topics including scope and sequence, sample model structures and frameworks.

Join us for a Skill Up! workshop about creating a community culture of non-judgement and how it serves to normalize behaviors by noticing people’s needs rather than attaching shame and blame. Leave with some community building tools to start using in your school right away.

Given the current social and political landscape, this workshop will explore the intersection between restorative practices, identity, resiliency, and community healing in the face of racial trauma. During this two-session institute, participants will receive tools and resources, engage in small group discussion, and have the opportunity for individual reflection and application.

In the time of COVID—whether your school is in person, fully remote, or using a hybrid model—attending to the social, emotional and physical wellbeing of students and colleagues has become a marathon of perseverance. What do counselors need in order to provide for others while also taking care of themselves?

In this workshop we will use the framework of ambiguous loss pioneered by Pauline Boss to understand our responses to so much uncertainty and ambiguity. While some worry that “giving in” to our sadness will lead to emotional collapse, sharing experiences in a structured, intentional way, provides relief and brings people together.

This workshop focuses on the “on the ground” strategies faculty and administrators can use to better support Black students. We will take some time to build an understanding of implicit bias and the influence of the BLM movement on the experiences of Black youth.

This Community Conversation will provide the opportunity for women to share stories and challenges of navigating their personal and professional lives in the midst of the the pandemic.

This Community Conversation offers a framework for arts teachers to check-in and take stock, to learn and look forward. We’ll reflect on challenges in the time of Covid-19, but also share discoveries, strategies and innovations.
