This year-long fellowship for experienced educators from Northern and Southern California supports the unique demands of independent school leaders—the only program of its kind in the state! Facilitated by two experienced, long-time Heads of School, the Leadership Fellows Program offers practical knowledge and skills about independent school leadership, as well as professional and personal support.

Join women from other CATDC member schools for a series of focused learning and networking opportunities. Each session will feature guest presenters—current and past Heads and Assistant Heads of School—in a relaxed, small group setting.

This ongoing program is for coaches at all levels within their school sites, from classroom instructors to school leaders, and will explore the habits and practices of transformational coaching.

This program is designed for aspiring and current educational leaders, in both academic and non-academic roles. Participants will deepen their own leadership capacity by exploring leadership styles, school culture, communication, diversity and innovation, self-care, networking, and relationship-driven feedback models.

In this one-day intensive workshop, participants will explore the roles appreciation, growth, and evaluation play at their school sites, investigate the strengths and opportunities of these three topics, and revise/re-envision an AGE cycle that promotes meaningful professional learning and growth.

This ongoing program is an opportunity for educators of color to explore their leadership visions, opportunities, and aspirations within and beyond independent schools.

In this two-part workshop you will explore four cornerstones to a powerful leadership practice, and is appropriate for early leaders who are in the process of establishing themselves in a new role or are interested in taking on the next level of leadership.

This day-long workshop supports educators looking to move to the next step in their leadership journeys. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their leadership paths, strengths, and experiences, taking stock of where they have been and where they aspire to go as educators and leaders.

This 3-day Summer Institute is transformative for anyone who leads groups of colleagues or students, especially teachers, administrators, and department chairs. Participants will gain new tools, tactics, and a personalized work plan containing strategies to improve their facilitation techniques.

The year-long program includes both in-person and online support for educators. It kicks-off with a 2 day intensive classroom experience before the school year begins. Participants will investigate the psychology of change and learn how to most effectively act as a catalyst for change within a complex organizational structure.

The Summer Leadership Institute offers educators opportunities to explore, practice, and refine core competencies of independent school leadership. Led by Kate Sheppard and Jane Chandler, this year’s Summer Leadership Institute includes two programs that can be taken together or separately: The Art of Leading and Leading and Facilitating for Positive Change.

This 3-day Summer Institute is transformative for anyone who leads groups of colleagues or students, especially teachers, administrators, and department chairs. Participants will gain new tools, tactics, and a personalized work plan containing strategies to improve their facilitation techniques.

This practical one-day workshop explores peer coaching philosophies and goals as well as designs for team structures, timelines, meeting protocols, and data collection instruments for classroom observations.

Led by two heads of school with decades of experience in leadership, this interactive workshop is designed for women leaders in schools who want to explore their relationship with personal power as well as strengthen their public presence.

This powerful, one-day event brings together educators from schools throughout the Bay Area to support women on their path toward more empowering leadership.
