This three-part online workshop serves to encourage local collaboration and provide tangible takeaways that affirm the experiences of People of Color (PoC) in independent schools and the broader community. Intended for people of color who are doing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) work in their school communities, participants will have the opportunity to bring to light common challenges and successes regarding DEI topics and collaborate on bringing positive change.

This two-session series (April 30 and May 7) will provide practical tools, resources, and strategies for educators who are currently facilitating, or considering implementing, racial affinity groups.

This working group of LGBTQ+* professionals will provide a unique opportunity for educators to connect in a confidential, respectful, and relaxed atmosphere. The ultimate goal is to develop a network of LGBTQ+ educators which continues well beyond the four meetings.

This ongoing program was created to offer a much-needed opportunity for us to examine the ways that white supremacy and anti-black racism, in particular, live within and are expressed through each of us. This work will be done in the context of a professional learning community in which participants mutually invest in one another’s growth and stick with the process in the face of success and challenge.

Teaching While White is a 2-day intensive for white teachers and administrators who want to expand their strategies for increasing racial equity in schools. Participants will explore what it means to be “white” and why it matters.
