Recognizing that independent school leadership comes in a variety of forms, from teacher leaders and deans to department chairs and division directors, this ongoing program will explore key topics that leaders face in their schools.

This three-part online workshop serves to encourage local collaboration and provide tangible takeaways that affirm the experiences of People of Color (PoC) in independent schools and the broader community.

This online year-long program is designed for experienced senior administrators charged with the hiring, mentoring, professional growth, and evaluation of faculty. Our sessions, which are loosely timed to align with the rhythms of the school leader’s year, will be dedicated to discussing the challenges and complexities associated with managing, leading, and supporting diverse groups of faculty.

This 5-session series is for anyone involved in coaching and mentoring who wishes to leverage learning from the past year as well as build foundational tools and techniques to best equip teachers in their professional growth.

Identity-Conscious Facilitation centers on the exploration and clarification of identity consciousness and the impact on facilitation. Because identity informs and impacts how we act, interact, and see the world around us, it is important that facilitators develop a deep sense of identity as they work with individuals, groups, adults, and students.

This leadership institute is aimed at building the skills of educators who supervise and support teams at their schools. Through a neurobiology and social science research lens, we can deepen our understanding of the critical factors needed to create environments that support individual and organizational resiliency.

The Department Chairs Institute will guide participants in exploring the multilayered challenges of this unique position and in developing the knowledge, skills and strategies to become effective department leaders.

This interactive Summer Institute will provide opportunities for connection, collaboration, and reflection as the See Change team leads you through the design of a recovery strategy for next year. This process will support your organization in retaining employees and families, increasing effectiveness, and cultivating innovation.

In this workshop participants will gain concrete recommendations to support Organizational Resilience and develop action steps to bring back and implement at their school sites.

Institutions that are looking to be more equitable, diverse and anti-racist are also doing so at the emotional and psychological cost of people of color. Learn to identify the signs for stereotype threat, imposter syndrome, gaslighting and racial trauma. This session is designed to be a safe, brave, supportive space for Black/African American women.

This workshop will invite participants to understand that there are common and effective development practices that also support values of equity and inclusivity. Through planning and practice, we will consider how our advancement conversations and messaging can be both inclusive and compelling.

This powerful, one-day event brings together educators from schools throughout California to build community and provide inspiration and support for women in navigating their professional journeys with purpose, courage, and an equity lens.

The goal of the Department Chairs Program is to provide the opportunity for exploring the multilayered challenges of this unique position. Participants will learn new skills and processes and establish themselves as a strong “leadership learning community.”
