ABOUT THIS VIRTUAL INTENSIVE
This session is designed for educators who are already using AI in their practice and are looking to develop more advanced skills. Our main focus will be on practicing prompting and training that more deeply personalizes AI to our needs. Through strategic, detailed prompting and providing AI with a knowledge base of resources that we curate, we can teach AI to behave in more specific ways and provide more helpful and reliable responses.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Participants will:
- Practice prompting Skills 2.0: improving prompting skills to generate better outputs from AI tools
- Learn the benefits of training AI on specific resources and materials that we curate (using Claude or ChatGPT-4’s “GPTs”)
- Explore new generative AI tools, especially multimedia creation (image, video, audio, etc.)
Participants will also be invited to showcase their own novel uses of AI. In all cases, we will imagine how we can build not only our literacy when it comes to use of AI, but that of our students, as well.
AUDIENCE
Classroom-based educators as well as school leaders. Ideal for teams!

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Eric Hudson is a facilitator and strategic advisor who supports schools in making sense of what’s changing in education and in being responsive to the people they serve. He has spent his career in education, and he uses his design sense to put the learner at the heart of every experience. Most recently, Eric spent a decade at Global Online Academy (GOA), first as an instructional coach and ultimately as Chief Program Officer, working with schools around the world to rethink where, when, and how we learn. Prior to GOA, he was a teacher at the middle, high school, and college levels. The classroom is where he developed his passion for learner-centered design and facilitation. He currently serves on the board of the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS). Eric has a M.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A. from Cornell University.
