ABOUT THIS VIRTUAL BOOK TALK

Breaking the Boy Code: The New Playbook for Raising Resilient Boys, engages audiences in a timely and important discussion about the urgent crisis facing boys today. Dr. Hurley, an adolescent mental health expert and psychotherapist, carefully examines the societal pressures and hypermasculinity that negatively impact boys’ mental health, academic performance, and social relationships.

In her conversation with Laura Ross, Dr. Hurley will share actionable steps from her book, oriented towards educators who support boys aged 5 to 17 with a focus on how to help boys develop emotional resilience, empathy, and healthy relationships.
