ABOUT THIS VIRTUAL WORKSHOP SERIES

AI is shaping schools’ complex educational landscapes. What role do we, as lower school educators, play in cultivating students’ foundational mindsets and proficiencies? How can we incorporate AI in ways that are safe, ethical, and value human skills and well-being? This workshop is designed to demystify AI and to offer practical guidance and resources to classroom teachers, curriculum coordinators, coaches, and leaders. We will explore the importance of human-centered approaches, share insights into the value of AI literacy, engage with AI tools, and examine supportive leadership frameworks and processes. This dynamic program will meet educators where they are in their AI journeys and build a learning community of educators grappling with the complexity of this work.

Participants will:

  • Understand the current potential of AI in lower school education.
  • Explore human-centered approaches to AI and AI ethics
  • Create personalized action plans for AI integration in their settings
  • Access and organize tools and frameworks for AI in education
  • Establish professional learning networks for continued growth
  • Advocate for responsible AI practices in their educational communities

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS

Corinne Yeager, CATDC Facilitator

Corinne Yeager serves as a Technology Coach at The Pegasus School, where she supports teachers in integrating technology meaningfully into their practice and leads professional development initiatives focused on educational technology. In her role, she guides educators through the thoughtful implementation of digital tools, with a particular focus on helping teachers navigate the evolving landscape of AI in education while maintaining developmentally appropriate, human-centered approaches to learning. Her approach to technology integration is grounded in the belief that it's never too late to learn new skills—she didn't write her first line of code until her early twenties, bringing a growth mindset and empathy for learners at all stages to her professional development work. Corinne brings six years of classroom teaching experience across pre-K, first, fourth, and fifth grades, as well as middle school Computer Science, along with two years as an EdTech TOSA in public education. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Diversified Education and Multiple Subject Credential from the University of the Pacific, and a Master's degree in Educational Technology from Concordia University.
