ABOUT THIS ONLINE SERIES
The loss and destruction caused by the recent Southern California wildfires has been devastating. It’s important for educators to give themselves grace and seek community during this time of recovery. In partnership with Licensed Clinical Social Worker and school-based mental health professional, Jill Ma (she/her), CATDC is offering support groups for educators impacted by the fires.
Three unique groups will meet on the following days and times:
Group 1 - Educators who lost their homes: March 12, 2025 from 3:30-4:30pm
Group 2 - Educators who lost their school campuses: February 26, 2025 from 3:30-4:30pm
Group 3 - Educators grappling with student support and parent relations in the wake of the Southern California fires: March 5, 2025 from 3:30-4:30pm
As these are affinity spaces, please only attend the group or groups with which you identify personally. After each group has met once, CATDC may extend the sessions through the end of this school year, pending interest and participation.
Participants will:
- Be able to come as they are and join a supportive space
- Learn from and with each other
- Develop strategies to cope in the short and long-term
Please contribute to this offering as you are able, with ticket prices ranging from $10 to $50. If cost is prohibitive to attendance, please reach out to Shauna Davis.
