ABOUT THIS HYBRID ONGOING PROGRAM
Women Rising is a thoughtfully designed leadership experience for women educators who are ready to deepen their impact while staying connected to purpose and community. We use the heart and mind to build, empower, and sharpen our leadership skills. Participants will be emboldened to lead from their authentic selves and create cultures of growth and reflection.
Born out of the powerful conversations and reflection at the CATDC Women + Leadership Conference, Women Rising creates an intentional space for women leaders to pause, reflect, and grow together. Beginning with a retreat grounded in nature and community, and continuing with a combination of in-person and virtual convening, participants will explore the inner work of leadership while strengthening the tools needed to lead schools, teams, and communities with confidence and authenticity.
This is for you if you are:
- Not currently in a leadership role, but interested in developing your capacity for leadership
- An emerging leader, taking on additional leadership in your school, such as a teacher leader
- An early career leader who is interested in cultivating an authentic leadership voice and sharpening leadership skills
Through guided reflection, facilitated dialogue, and leadership practices grounded in both research and lived experience, Women Rising invites participants to reconnect with their voice, clarify their vision, and cultivate the kind of leadership that nourishes both self and community.

AUDIENCE
Women Rising is an affinity space that is welcoming and respectful of women of all backgrounds, including trans women, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming individuals who are comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of women. We recognize and acknowledge the intersection of race and gender identities, and it is our hope that we can offer an inclusive and intentional space that challenges white supremacy and celebrates the uniqueness, experiences, and contributions of each participant.
ABOUT THE FACILITATORS
Ginger Healy's leadership is grounded in relationships, deep connections, and a commitment to child-centered education. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Southern California, followed by a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Northridge, and a Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in Pedagogy from Pepperdine University. Before stepping into her current role as Director of Grades 3–5 at Curtis School in 2019, Ginger spent 12 years as an elementary classroom teacher. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her three children, chasing them around the park, and surrounding herself with far too many books.
Kasiopia Moore-Watts is energy and love personified. She serves as the Middle School Principal at Campbell Hall in Studio City, where she made history as the first African American principal in the school’s 80-year legacy. Leading with what she calls radical love, Kasiopia is deeply committed to cultivating belonging, brilliance, and purpose in every student and educator she serves. With leadership experience as both a Principal and Assistant Principal at KIPP Schools, and advanced degrees in Secondary Education from Loyola Marymount University, Kasiopia brings academic rigor, relational leadership, and a deep belief in human potential to her work.
HOST AND PARTNER SCHOOL
CATDC partners with member schools to host our in-person programs, providing educators the opportunity to learn with peers in diverse settings. We are thrilled to partner with Pacific Ridge School on this ongoing program, welcoming the larger independent school community to meet on their campus throughout the school year.
