ABOUT THIS VIRTUAL WORKSHOP SERIES
This two-part series is designed to equip teachers with research-based frameworks and ready-to-use tools so that they can respond to stress and anxiety with confidence, compassion, and consistency.
Session 1, Neurodiversity x Co-Regulation: Understanding Stress, Anxiety, and Student Regulation, explores how co-regulation supports emotional safety, attention, and executive functioning—especially for neurodivergent learners experiencing anxiety or stress.
During this session, participants will:
- Understand the neuroscience of stress and the co-regulation cycle
- Recognize signs of dysregulation and apply practical strategies to re-engage students
- Build emotional safety through attuned, relational teaching practices
- Communicate with families around emotional regulation in clear, empathetic ways
Session 2, From Co-Regulation to Resilience: Interventions for Classrooms and Families, focuses on implementation, embedding co-regulation into daily practice and school-family partnership.
During this session, participants will:
- Classroom routines that strengthen executive functioning and self-regulation
- Supporting families in co-regulation strategies that extend home-school continuity
- Facilitating difficult conversations around stress, transitions, and student needs
- Preparing students for summer and grade-level transitions through relational and cognitive tools
