ABOUT THIS IN-PERSON SUMMER INSTITUTE

Transform your meetings, professional development, and facilitation with The Design Lab workshop series. This two-day program is designed to take you on a journey through transformative professional design and facilitation experiences. Drawing upon research-informed practices, transformational adult learning theory, Universal Design for Learning, and liberatory design, The Design Lab provides a unique opportunity to revitalize your meeting ideas, opening week workshops, professional learning days, or any other gathering. Come away with practical tools you can use right away and a community of leaders who are inspired to remake what’s possible for adults.

A resource booklet will be provided to support your ongoing development. Whether you're a seasoned facilitator or a new leader, this workshop will provide you with valuable insights and practical skills to enhance your professional practice.

In this workshop, you'll:

  • Reflect on, assess, refine, and redefine what makes professional learning and meetings transformational
  • Create conditions and new systems for adult learning

  • Explore effective facilitation skills through reflection and practice
  • Build connections among participants

HOST AND PARTNER SCHOOL

CATDC partners with member schools to host our in-person programs, providing educators the opportunity to learn with peers in diverse settings. We are thrilled to partner with Curtis School on this Summer Institute, welcoming the larger independent school community on their campus for two days of learning and collaboration.
