In collaboration with Flintridge Prep, the first-ever Southern California Teaching Symposium: Creating Connections invites teachers, innovators, and thought leaders to participate in a day-long conference where we’ll celebrate teaching and learning. We’ll imagine how our students can most effectively learn key skills and concepts, while also learning deeply and supporting each other in an educational world that asks for flexibility and growth.

Join us for a day-long learning experience centered on supporting the healthy development of adolescent male-identified students and challenging problematic societal trends. In a unique collaboration, CATDC and Harvard-Westlake School are partnering with Professor Matt Englar-Carlson and Professor Ioakim Boutakidis from California State University, Fullerton, to shape a day of learning that bridges research, data, and actionable solutions. In cohorts, participants will integrate their learning, evolve their classroom practices, skills, and tools, and return to their schools with insights that have the potential to create immediate impact.

Our theme for Women + Leadership 2026 is Cultivating Our Collective Wisdom. Committees made up of women leaders from our member schools have designed a conference that centers the wisdom within our school communities and how we can learn from and continue to grow with each other.

In collaboration with Crystal Springs Uplands School, the inaugural Transformative Teaching Conference @ Crystal invites teachers, innovators, and thought leaders to participate in a day-long conference dedicated to transformative teaching practices. The goal of Transformative Teaching is to increase students’ mastery of skills and concepts, while at the same time cultivating in students a love of learning and positive sense of self and ability. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate and learn from the dynamic insights, experiences, and research of your peers that challenge conventional approaches and inspire all of us to enhance our teaching methodologies.
