Flora Mugambi-Mutunga

Flora Mugambi-Mutunga is the Director of Community Building and Inclusion and a member of the Senior Leadership Team at the Town School for Boys, San Francisco. She was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, and immigrated to the US, where she received a BA and an M.Ed from South Western Oklahoma State University. Flora earned a certificate in School Management and Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Harvard Business School.

Flora is passionate about collaborating with stakeholders to promote diversity in all its forms, social justice, global education, and service-learning. She is a trustee at Horizons-San Francisco Friends School and the proud mother to her 2nd grader at the Hamlin School for Girls. Flora also partners with Teach With Africa as a mentor to young South African educators through the Global Teachers Institute in Johannesburg.

This three-part online workshop is designed to be a brave space where white administrators (i.e. Assistant Heads of School, Division Heads, Deans, DEI Directors) can look at their own identity, their school community, and the values that their schools’ aim to incorporate.
