Facilitated by members of The San Francisco Equity Leaders (SFEL), a cohort of DEI Directors from Bay Area independent schools and consultants, this ongoing program is intended for people who are doing DEIB work in official and “unofficial” roles. It is meant to provide participants with a safe and supportive community to reflect, share stories, and learn from each other.

This year-long fellowship for experienced educators from throughout California supports the unique demands of independent school leaders—the only program of its kind in California!

This 5-session series focuses on the unique role and responsibilities of educators who support classroom teachers directly and indirectly from positions outside of senior administration. These professionals inside schools—curriculum coordinators, learning specialists, instructional coaches, assistant teacher program directors, and others—who inhabit the space between classroom teachers and administrators often work within this context and without the power to change the overarching systems.

This ongoing program offers a small, confidential and welcoming environment designed to foster connections, learning, support and dialogue between Administrative Assistants working at independent schools.

This program will provide new and aspiring leaders with tools and strategies to transition successfully into a leadership role. Throughout this program, participants will also have the opportunity to discuss the dynamics, challenges, and opportunities unique to their roles and schools. Participants will engage in focused conversations around navigating colleague dynamics, becoming a supervisor, prioritizing tasks, and engaging in effective communication strategies.

This three-part hybrid series will provide practical tools, resources, templates, strategies, and mutual support for educators who are currently facilitating racial affinity groups. Participants will engage in practices that support their facilitation of affinity spaces, develop affinity group curriculum, including scope and sequence, to support student and adult affinity spaces at their schools, and work through scenarios that arise when implementing and sustaining affinity space structures and frameworks.

This immersive and comprehensive ongoing program is designed specifically for teachers who are passionate about integrating climate action, environmental literacy, and sustainability across the curriculum.

This program will provide new leaders and educators growing into leadership roles, with tools and strategies to transition successfully into their current position. Participants will engage in focused conversations around navigating colleague dynamics, becoming a supervisor, prioritizing tasks, and engaging in effective communication strategies.

This program leads participants through an active roadmap for reimagining their schools’ approach to teacher SuperVision and growth-focused feedback. Develop new models of teacher mentorship and support to navigate and embrace post-remote shifts in teaching and learning.

This three-part hybrid series will provide practical tools, resources, templates, strategies, and mutual support for educators who are currently facilitating, or considering implementing, racial affinity groups. Participants will explore affinity group curriculum topics including scope and sequence, sample model structures and frameworks.

This ongoing program is designed to meet early childhood educators where they are on their journey to integrating anti-bias work into early childhood learning. The blended, ongoing format of the program strives to build community and create space for the reflective practices necessary when committing to this critical work.

This professional learning community is an opportunity for leaders of color in independent schools in California and the Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS) to reflect on and aspire forward in their journeys as leaders. Open to returning and new participants, this leadership professional learning community is for experienced, emerging and questioning leaders of color at all stages of their careers.

Led by two experienced leaders in Associate and Assistant Head roles, the CATDC Assistant/ Associate Heads group will build community for women-identified leaders as they navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with these varied senior leadership positions.
