ABOUT THIS HYBRID ONGOING PROGRAM

Connect with fellow educators committed to creating and sustaining healthy spaces for boys on our campuses. Co-led by Matthew Cutler, Class Dean and History and Social Sciences Instructor at Harvard-Westlake School, and Ericka Dean, Director of Equity, Inclusion, and Community at Mirman School, this working group will focus on supporting educators' mentorship of boys using research and data-informed practices.

Our year-long cohort will be a working group that meets 3 times in person and 2 times online. In-person meetings will create opportunities for school-based educators to learn from one another and focus on advocacy and systems building to support sustainable change. Participants and school teams will be coached through the process of building an artifact that can be implemented in their schools. Online sessions will welcome experts in the field of boy development to inform the progression of the artifact.

Participants will:

  • Develop tools to build systems of support unique to their school community’s needs
  • Learn from and with fellow educators engaging in this work in their school communities
  • Gain data-informed insights from experts in the field to advocate for this work

AUDIENCE

K-12 educators across the state who are committed to changing systems of support for boys in their communities.
