Rasheda Carroll

Rasheda Carroll is the Assistant Head of School at Westland School in Los Angeles. She supports personal and organizational growth through reflective processes and skill-building at the personal, interpersonal, institutional and cultural levels. Her research and experience is in organizational change and development, modern and internalized oppression, racial identity development, conflict resolution, affinity group development, and team building. Rasheda is a skilled facilitator, having designed and led workshops and trainings for both youth and adult learning. She has worked with schools, community based organizations and private institutions nationally to create and sustain inclusive organizations and communities.

Finding Joy, Connection & Community: Support for DEI Practitioners

Facilitated by two educators who have designed and led decades of equity and diversity work throughout southern California independent schools, this five-session series is intended for people who are doing DEI work in both official and “unofficial” roles in their schools. The community we co-create will offer participants space for affirming connection – where shared stories, skill building, reflection, and collaborative learning are centered.

Affinity Spaces 2.0

This three-part hybrid series will provide practical tools, resources, templates, strategies, as well as mutual support for educators who are currently facilitating racial affinity groups. Participants will engage in practices that support their facilitation of affinity spaces, develop affinity group curriculum, including scope and sequence, to support student and adult affinity spaces at their schools, and work through scenarios that arise when implementing and sustaining affinity space structures and frameworks.
