Ambassador Program

What is a CATDC Ambassador?

As we look to deepen the CATDC’s relationships with schools, we are creating a new role for faculty at our member schools. Our Ambassadors are school faculty who know and have experienced the CATDC’s innovative approach to PD and can both represent the CATDC in their schools and represent their school to the CATDC.

Through the Ambassadors, we hope to reach more faculty and share information about our upcoming workshops and programs. In addition, the Ambassadors will be important in sharing the needs, interests, and goals of each school with the CATDC as we create new programming.

What are the expectations?

  • Share upcoming CATDC workshops/programs with teachers at your school (through email, posting information in the faculty room, etc.)
  • Promote the CATDC to teachers by sharing your own experiences at CATDC programs
  • Briefly introduce the CATDC’s mission/goals and upcoming programming at a beginning of the year faculty meeting (the CATDC will provide you with information/talking points)
  • Be a voice for your school to the CATDC, giving us feedback about your teachers’ experiences and interests through periodic (2-3 times/year) Ambassador Lunches

What is the time commitment?

We will have a meeting in mid-August to welcome you as an Ambassador, and to give you an opportunity to learn about this opportunity and to meet the other ambassadors from Los Angeles/Pasadena schools. There will be 2-3 Ambassador Lunches throughout the school year to get your feedback about CATDC programming (we hope you will be able to attend at least 1-2 during the year). Other than that, the time commitment is minimal – answer questions that teachers at your school might have about the CATDC, informally sharing your experiences in CATDC workshops, and posting/sharing CATDC flyers and workshop information.

What’s in it for me?

This is a great leadership opportunity for you to make connections with other, like-minded educators at CATDC member schools in Los Angeles. By representing the Collaborative at your school, you also have the chance to support other teachers as they seek out quality opportunities for professional growth and collaboration. You also will have your voice heard in the development of future CATDC programming.

How do I become a CATDC Ambassador?

For the 2016-17 school year the CATDC Ambassador program is only available to member schools in Southern California. If you are interested in becoming an Ambassador for the 2017-18 school year, please send your contact info to and we will reach out to you next spring.

Workshop Flyers >>>

In order to spread the word about our ongoing and one-day workshops we rely on administrative teams from our member schools to share upcoming opportunities with their faculty. We love spreading the word digitally and with printed flyers! If your school prefers to share professional development opportunities digitally you can share our upcoming workshop link. Below are downloadable flyers for you to print out and share at your school.
